This feature is useful for people who lived abroad but preferred to have their own search results more tailored towards their home country. For example, if you live in a smaller country, then adding Google.com will deliver better results. However, that feature will go missing from now as Google has just announced that it will be changing the way it labels country services in Search. Google had planned to display search results based on user’s location, independent of whichever domain is in use. Google on its blog mentioned, “Today, around one in five searches on Google is related to location, so providing locally relevant search results is an essential part of serving you the most accurate information.” However, if you still prefer to use Google from some other country then there is an option which is buried under a settings menu. Users need to head to ‘search settings’ in the browser and then need to change the location to get results based on that location.
