Using the Ping System in Overwatch 2
When pointing your reticle at a location, character, or point of interest, click in on your scroll wheel or middle mouse button to ping it. This will automatically notify your teammates that you’ve pinged something as a point of interest. Alternatively, you can hold down your middle mouse button to bring up a radial menu of commands. While holding it down, move your mouse and hover over the command you want, then release the middle mouse button once you’ve made your selection to send out the ping. The commands allow you to get a bit more specific with your ping, such as informing your teammates to attack or defend a particular area, or to inform them of incoming danger. The ping system is invaluable for team communication, especially for players who may not want to use their mic to speak with their teammates or are unable to.
